The Asian Style

There is only one thing I can not ever, but ever resist (OK not only one but I need to make it more dramatic): Sushi! Yes I know there are sushi-lover and sushi-haters, but believe me I can live with that. Plus we have more sushi for us ;)
So for the first things I was looking for when I arrived in Florence is a good sushi restaurant. Yes, I love pasta, I adore pizza but still sushi is something else. And luckily I found it (and really close by). Momoyama is a place with really good aesthetics and some of the best makis I have ever tried. As a maki-fan I did not had any sashimi or nigiri but that's good because I have already my excuse of going back.
What I really liked -apart from the food- were their good prices (approx. 1 Euro per piece) and this amazing sushi doll house!!
I really recommend it for those who are a few days in the city and had enough with carbs :D

Always do sober what you said you'd do drunk...

Spoken out by Ernest Hemingway. Yes his drinking passion made him so famous as ''For whom the bell tolls'' also did. But what happens when drinking + books comes as an equation? Hemingway cafe in Florence is the correct and only answer.
Described in Lonly Planet as the heaven of chocolate Hemingway chocolaterie-cafeterie is one of the cosiest places I have ever seen, ideal for rainy Sunday afternoons when cocooning is the only word that comes in your mind. The feeling that you get when you enter the door is that you are in a very artistic cave.
Small tables are all over the place and the library full of colourful books makes a unique statement in the venue.
But the biggest statement is being done by it's menu: chocolate cupcakes, fruity muffins, cafe vienua with whiskey (we are in the place carrying the name of the famous writer, remember?), chocolate with whipped cream, milkshakes with cacao, fruits and coffee are only an example of what is at your eating and drinking disposal.
If you happen to pass by Florence don't miss it! It does not happen everyday to be in heaven ;)

L(ong) I(ncredible) F(abulous) E(vents)

My name is Anna Maria. To be honest I always introduce myself as Anna. It always comes automatically. I was born in Greece in August. Somehow I believe I am connected with summer and travelling from the day I was born. I was born in the heart of summer (the month that most of us are lying on a sun bed under the hot sun) and of course in a country that sells the three S: sun, sea and sand.
My favourite journey was in New York (both times that I have been there), I used to hate Amsterdam till the last time that I have been there and I felt sorry for all this long hatred that I had for this city, the country that I have visited most times is Germany, my dream destination is so simple (and near) as Istanbul and in Greece I love to love Thessaloniki and Syros. Athens is my place to be and the place I want to return A S A P. I tried to show my love for it in Nightlyzer but I am not famous of being faithful something that I want to  correct with the Notebook. Best vacation in Greece? Sifnos, 2012.
From an early age I go several times throughout the year in Nafplio. No, we don't have a house there but we are part of it I tend to think. I used to get bored there, but when I discovered the beauty of the old city then something change inside me.
Now I live in Florence. I left Greece 6 months ago. Considering the wired situations I have no intentions to go back soon. Changing places very is quite awkward and not always the easiest thing in the world. But I am in the mood of trying it.
My favourite poet says that what matters is the journey and not the destination. I quite agree with him but my life consists of several small destinations till reaching the ultimate one: the way back!
So let's enjoy them to the fullest and descover their hidden secrets.
